What is Intensive Phototheraphy Equipment (360°- Adjustable Head) ?
Phototherapy units are used for the treatment of jaundice which is diagnosed in newborns (newborn babies) due to changes in bilirubin metabolism. Majority of the new born face with at some level of jaundice which can cause damages such as brain damage and mental developmental delay if not treated. With the blue LED technology used in phototherapy treatment, the bilirubin substance accumulated in the body is broken down and excreted from the body through urine.
In our product, which is specified as “Adjustable Head”, the hemispherical section containing the lights opens upwards in the area where the baby is laid down for treatment and exposed to blue light. Thus, natural ventilation is provided in the area where the baby lies within the unit, and a fan is not needed for ventilation. In the unit without a fan, babies feel in a more peaceful environment thanks to the absence of fan noise.
